PROS AND CONS OF BULK T SHIRT PRINTING #weneversayno

There are three major types of t-shirt printing available for consumers today. Each of the three printing methods has its own pros and cons.

Here are the three major types of t-shirt printing you can choose from:

Screen printing

This is the first and oldest t-shirt printing method; screen printing is also the most widely used printing method of the three. The principle of screen printing is the same from simpler hand printed method to the largest fully automated prints.

However, one of the restrictions of screen printing is that the process of setting up and cleaning the screen is time-consuming.

Bulk t-shirt printing companies charge a setup fee for the screens and the screens are stored and used for the bulk t-shirt printing and reprint.

The prints from screen printing are usually clean and solid and it is great for texts and logos. It is also the ideal printing method for mass printing because it keeps the price low. However, this t-shirt printing method is not ideal for photographic reproduction unless you are choosing an image with a lower grade.

Digital t-shirt printing

Digital printing is the second method of digital printing and uses machines for printing. One of the pros of digital printing is that it offers print on demand which cannot be offered by screen printing.

One of the cons of digital printing is that setting up is expensive and only large printing companies offer it.

Digital printing is economical and allows economic printing of single designs. Unlike screen printing, digital printing is excellent for printing multi-colored design, logos, and photographic prints.

Heat transfer printing

Heat transfer is the third printing method and s the name suggests an image is printed on paper and heat is used to transfer the image from the paper to the t-shirt. Heat transfer printing is inexpensive and realistic for anyone who wants low expectation usage. This printing method is less expensive and once the heat press is available, it can be used for bulk t-shirt printing. Heat transfer printing allows the printing of complex multi-color images and photographs. The output of the heat transfer print is always clean and pleasing to the eye.

The major con of the transfer heat printing is that there is a need to cut each image around the contour to get rid of the papers you don’t want to appear after printing.

In conclusion, a consumer can choose any of the three types of printing based on the design and need for printing.
